4 Fundamental Rules to Finding Success

There are thousands of articles that discuss success and finding success, but what all of them seem to miss is the vital basics. They all focus on the superficial things and never truly hit the important points.

I hope to change that by taking a more direct approach to this article.

4 Fundamental Rules to Finding Success:

  1. Be Yourself and Own It

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. -Steve Jobs

After this vivid message there is not much to add but the fact that personal change is completely up to you, you can keep on waiting for tomorrow or you can take control and change for the better today.

  1. Be Committed

Success can never be found without commitment.

Commitment unlocks the doors of imagination, allows vision, and gives us the “right stuff” to turn our dreams into reality. -James Womack quotes

Without commitment, a person is limited in what he can achieve. The reason behind this is that commitment gives you focus and drive, and without these two things, nothing can be fruitful.

  1. Be Open to New Ideas

Always be open to opinions and new ideas as you never know from which direction success will come.

Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, that is way great spiritual giants are produced. -Swami Vivekananda

  1. Be as Productive As Possible

No matter how much planning you do, in the end, it always comes down to how much work you can get done.

Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort. -Paul J. Meyer quotes

A productive person is a successful person, make sure you work to the best of your ability so that you don’t get lazy because that could lead to you missing out on your goal.
